Applied Biosystems' TaqMan® Products & Services from Expression Analysis
SERVICES NOW AVAILABLE
 TaqMan® assays from Applied Biosystems utilize both amplification with gene-specific primers and fluorescent detection with target-specific probes to generate RNA expression and DNA genotyping results. Applied Biosystems has developed millions of human, mouse, and rat probe/primer sets. These assays may be performed individually or in focused sets on the TaqMan® Low Density Arrays (TLDAs), microfluidic cards that contain up to 384 dried-down TaqMan® Gene Expression Assays and eight ports for fast, efficient loading.
Expression Analysis supports the following applications of TaqMan® products:
Real-Time PCR for Individual Genes
Real-Time PCR for Focused Sets of Genes using TLDAs
Genotyping for Individual Polymorphisms
Discriminate between two SNP alleles using the 5' nuclease assay which contains two uniquely labeled TaqMan® probes that each bind preferentially to only one of the alleles
microRNA Expression Profiling with TLDA or Individual Assays
Quantify microRNA using TaqMan® gene expression assays developed with novel looped primers to target only mature microRNA, not their precursors
