Company Focus. Genomic services are our core competency. We did not initiate genomics services as an after-thought or a new method of generating revenue. In many cases, we have developed collaborative relationships to help demonstrate proficiency in a service. Genomic services are all we do!

Leadership and Expertise. Expression Analysis is active in multiple genomic standardization initiatives. We prepared the first submission of electronic microarray data in collaboration with the FDA, and we played key roles in both phases of the MicroArray Quality Control (MAQC) project. In fact, Dr. Wendell Jones, our Vice President of Statistics and Bioinformatics, is a co-leader of the MAQC-II Clinical Working Group, in charge of validating gene expression signatures used as biomarkers in clinical studies. He and his team have developed novel methods of data analysis, and our benchmarking program is the only available proficiency testing service for microarray processing.
High Quality. Expression Analysis was the first service provider in the world to implement a quality system necessary to achieve Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) certification and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) registration for microarray processing. With our quality system supported by GLP, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), CLIA and our own stringent standard operating procedures, our clients are assured of the highest quality work.
Clinical Experience. A very large portion of our revenue is derived from clinical trials and human testing services. We excel at helping clients use genetic testing to advance personalized medicine. In addition, we know how to present reliable data to the FDA. Our collaborations with the FDA date back to 2004 and have included mock microarray data submission (CDER), performance standards evaluation (CDER, CDRH) and other microarray quality control consortium projects.
High Throughput. Unlike other microarray service providers, Expression Analysis has a history of handling large volume orders under tight deadlines. We like to say, we “know how to grow,” whether that means buying new equipment, adding new platforms, or moving specimen handling from tubes to plates to robotics. We believe it is important to talk with our clients so we can anticipate their needs, and then develop the infrastructure to accommodate those needs. Our current microarray processing capacity is over 100,000 a year.
