Expression Analysis offers multiple levels of expression profiling using three complementary genomic platforms.
Gene-Level RNA Expression Profiling – Whole-genome or focused content microarrays
Exon-Level RNA Expression Profiling – Exon-level results detect alternative splicing and expression

Profiling Based on qRT-PCR or Multiplex Assays – Services for focused sets or individual transcripts

DASL Gene Expression Assays – Services for groups of up to 1,536 genes in a microarray format

MicroRNA Expression Profiling -
a powerful method for profiling the expression levels of a wide range of
miRNA based on our proven DASL assay
The expression services have been optimized for several challenging specimens.

Labeling Procedures for Limited Samples – Target generation from 40 ng total RNA or less

Labeling Procedures for FFPE Specimens – Target generation from limited and degraded RNA
Globin RNA Reduction Services – Increased sensitivity in RNA isolated from whole blood specimens
Data deliverables include raw data files, QC report, Microsoft Excel summary and group comparison files.

EXPRESSION PROFILING USING QRT-PCR OR MULTIPLEX ASSAYS
Expression Analysis performs quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and bead-based assays on two platforms.

EXPRESSION PROFILING USING EXON-LEVEL MICROARRAYS
Some Affymetrix microarrays interrogate the entire length of the gene, not just the 3' end. The GeneChip® Exon Arrays contain multiple probes for every exon in the genome and may be used to identify alternative splicing events. GeneChip® Gene Arrays contain probes spread across the full length of the gene, which are summarized into a single gene-specific expression value. cDNA targets for both the Exon and Gene microarrays are generated using a random priming event and optional ribosomal RNA reduction.

EXPRESSION PROFILING USING DASL ASSAYS
Illumina DASL assays provide focused expression profiles from degraded and limited RNA sample, such as those derived from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues. The profiles quantify panels of up to 1,536 genes. Custom or catalog probe panels, such as the DASL Human Cancer Panel, are available Targets are generated and hybridized to a universal microarray platform through a series of steps, including cDNA-mediated annealing, selection, extension, and ligation.

MicroRNA EXPRESSION PROFILING
Expression Analysis offers isolation of MicroRNAs for a variety of sample types on two different technology platforms. The Illumina technology offers human (735 microRNAs) and mouse (380 microRNAs) and the Applied Biosystems TaqMan system offers a number of assays for several species, which are chosen similar to Gene Expression assays, as well as a preconfigured Low Density Array (LDA) for 365 human microRNAs.
