Bovine

Illumina Bovine SNP50 Beadchip

Developed in collaboration with leading bovine researchers, the BovineSNP50 BeadChip features more than 54,000 evenly spaced probes that target SNPs discovered using Illumina’s Genome Analyzer and common SNPs described in publicly available sources. This 12-sample BeadChip presents a cost-effective and high-quality solution for interrogating genetic variation in virtually any cattle breed.

The BovineSNP50 BeadChip presents an average SNP spacing of 51.5 Kb across the entire genome, offering more than sufficient SNP density for robust whole-genome association studies and other applications such as:

Affymeyrix GeneChip® Bovine Genome Array

The GeneChip® Bovine Genome Array can be used to study gene expression of over 23,000 bovine transcripts. The array is an ideal tool for researchers studying gene expression profiles in cattle. With the broadest representation of publicly available expressed sequence information, bovine researchers will be able to use this array to monitor genetic mechanisms regulating a variety of preferred traits, such as:

Porcine

Illumina PorcineSNP60 Genotyping BeadChip

The PorcineSNP60 BeadChip was developed in collaboration with an international consortium of leading researchers through Illumina's iSelect program. It contains more than 60,000 SNPs, providing even spacing with an estimated one marker per 40kb across the pig genome. This 12-sample BeadChip presents a cost-effective and high-quality solution for interrogating genetic variation in multiple porcine breeds including Duroc, Landrace, Pietran, and Large White. The PorcineSNP60 BeadChip offers more than sufficient SNP density for whole-genome association studies and other applications such as:

Affymetrix GeneChip® Porcine Genome Array

The GeneChip® Porcine Genome Array is an important new tool for studying gene expression in the porcine animal model. Domestic pigs are an important food source and, because of the many anatomical and physiological similarities to humans, are also used extensively for medical research. In particular, the pig makes an excellent research model for wound repair, reproductive diseases, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.  The GeneChip® Porcine Genome Array provides comprehensive coverage of the Sus scrofa transcriptome. The array contains 23,937 probe sets that interrogate approximately 23,256 transcripts from 20,201 S. scrofa genes.

Rice

Affymetrix GeneChip® Rice Genome Array

The GeneChip® Rice Genome Array offers researchers comprehensive transcriptome coverage for rice gene expression research. This array contains probes to query 51,279 transcripts representing two rice cultivars, with approximately 48,564 japonica transcripts and 1,260 transcripts representing the indica cultivar. This unique design was created within the Affymetrix GeneChip® Consortia Program and provides scientists with a single array that can be used for the study of rice. High-quality sequence data were derived from GenBank® mRNAs, TIGR gene predictions, and the International Rice Genome sequencing project.
