EPA Extends and Expands Contract with Expression Analysis
Durham, NC – September 13, 2005: Expression Analysis, a full-service genetics testing and services company specializing in the Affymetrix GeneChip® Brand technology, announced today that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has extended and expanded its existing contract with the company.
The current contract option period recently exercised, with a maximum value of more than $1.7 million annually, has been expanded by the EPA to include additional services and technologies developed by Expression Analysis. These additions increase the contracts maximum value up to more than $2.5 million for this year alone, taking the maximum value of the entire contract to $6 million dollars.
In submitted performance reports, the EPA has stated that Expression Analysis has provided “processing service and data that is of excellent quality”, and customer services that have been rated as “outstanding”. “EA works very hard to maintain customer satisfaction”, commented the EPA.
In addition to adding the latest in Affymetrix GeneChip products, the contract now allows for access to statistical tools developed at Expression Analysis to include Reduction of Invariant Probes (REDI™), Permutation Analysis of Differential Expression (PADE™) and other analysis and normalization methods.
