Specimen Requirements
DNA submitted to EA should be provided at the concentration specified by the particular assay to be executed. It should be dissolved in nuclease-free water or reduced EDTA TE (10 mM Tris-0.1 mM EDTA, pH 7.0 to 8.0), as elevated concentrations of EDTA may inhibit downstream enzymatic reactions, EA recommends that the concentration of submitted DNA specimens be assessed at least twenty-four hours post-dilution to ensure accurate measurements. Shipment can either be on dry ice or frozen freezer packs.
